Today I would like to talk you through how I adapt the Necessary Clutch Wallet by Emmaline Bags into a zippered wallet. I have done this a few times now, and each time I make one I get a request to make another one, and get asked multiple times how I did it! So while putting this one together for my sister late last night, I snapped some photos to write up this tutorial. Excuse the badly lit images!
First things first, you cannot make this wallet without first purchasing the NCW pattern by Emmaline Bags. I am not affiliated in anyway and get no kickbacks, I have just used this pattern often and have used it as the basis for this wallet. So, you will need the pattern to understand what on earth I am doing! I also suggest that you have made at least one NCW as per the pattern instructions. This will help you understand what I am changing and which parts of the original pattern you will still need to use (to make the cards slots and the zippered pocket etc). I also use the original pattern exterior to create the adapted exterior for this version.
